Whole Class Google Meet

I have now had 4 full class google meet sessions. They have been awesome and it is a much easier way to communicate with you all. Thank you to those of you who popped in.

Why we use google meet:
- You can directly ask me any questions about your school work
- You can catch up with and discuss with other classmates
- I can clarify my instructions
- I send out resources or show you something cool everyday!

Today our class session ended with a game of Scribblio.

I would like to congratulate myself for winning.
Join next time to see if you can beat me in the next game!

My Teaching Area

What does your learning area look like?
It is good to have a working/learning area in the house, just like we have desks at school!

This is how I have set up my Teaching area
What do you think??
I don't have a desk so had to be a bit creative!

Daily Challenge - Figure of speech

Can you see the firgure's of speech in this photo? A figure of speech is a common saying people use in specific situations. Ask your whanau to have a look too! This is a cool, quick and interesting mini challenge.
Feel free to comment some of the ones you found below. Or make your own post and see if you can find all 27!

Rāhina, Rāhina, Rāhina!

Kia Ora everyone!

I am just checking in, with it being the start to a new week. I have already had time to go for a bike ride, made yummy scrambled eggs on toast and scrolled through Instagram. Yesterday I made the most of my Sunday by walking down to a local waterfall. I was quite scared of the Taniwha living in the water but jumped in anyway! lol

I'd love to see some of the things you have been doing with your whanau during this lock down. Share some photos on your blog! Remember to stay local, only drive for essential trips and do your part around the house.

Learning related blogs will follow!

Posting your work to your blog

Morena Room 10

We are entering our second week of lockdown which hopefully means that you are settling into your new routines. I have introduced myself to you all via email but will be keeping you updated on here from now on. I have received a few emails regarding the posting of your work. Now is the time to really make the most of your blog! Post away!

Remember that you are senior students. So I would expect to see capital letters, fullstops, correct punctuation AND spelling in your blog posts. You have the time to proofread so please do so. We want to share our best work and in the best way possible.

Updates coming soon!
